Signal Company Indoor Shooting Range
The Signal Company transmitter room was at the rear of the building housing the maintenance shop and photo lab. There were about five or six T-368 transmitters with their
RTTY modulators. There was also a desk and chair(s).
One day, I wandered in right at the moment of gunfire... INSIDE the room.
The guys in there had piled up sandbags in the corner of the room and were doing
target practice! The walls were very thick concrete, so no sounds escaped the building.
And, fortunately, the sandbags captured all the rounds so nobody got wounded.
